٤٥٧٠ - محبّ الدّين أبو عبد الله محمّد بن [محمود بن] الحسن - يعرف بابن النجّار - البغداديّ الحافظ المؤرّخ. (٢) كان من الحفّاظ المكثرين والعلماء المشهورين والفضلاء المذكورين، سافر الكثير في طلب العلم شرقا وغربا وسافر إلى اصفهان وخراسان والغور وهراة وآذربيجان والجبال والعراق والشام والحجاز واليمن ومصر وسمع في كلّ بلد دخله وقرية نزلها، وصنّف الذيل على تاريخ الخطيب، وله غير ذلك من الكتب والمجاميع، وله مشيخة تحتوي على ألف شيخ، ومولده في ذي القعدة سنة ثمان وسبعين وخمسمائة توفّي في خامس شعبان سنة ثلاث وأربعين وستّمائة ودفن بباب حرب.
