    ٤٠٤١ - مجد الدين أبو العبّاس أحمد بن محمّد بن بركة يعرف بابن البريدار البغداديّ المحدّث الكاتب. كان من والده من مدّاحي الخلفاء وخدم الناصر والظاهر والمستنصر والمستعصم، وكان ولده مجد الدين حافظا لنكت الأخبار ومعاني الأشعار، وكان إذا اشتغل في الأعمال الديوانية لا يكاد يراقب أحدا، فإذا عزل عن عمله تردّد إلى الإخوان والأصحاب، وكان له تردّد إلى الشيخ عزّ الدين عليّ بن الأعزّ، توفّي سنة أربع وتسعين وستّمائة.
