(٢)ذكره أبو منصور عبد الملك بن إسماعيل النيسابوريّ الثعالبيّ في كتاب تتمة اليتيمة وقال: شاعر بحقّه، محسن ملأ ثوبه. وأورد من نثره هذه الفصول: خلص من سبك النقد خلوص الذهب من اللهب، واللجين من يد القين، والمدام من شبح الندام، وقوله: أين الشراك من السماك، والغرقد من الفرقد. ومن شعره: يجدي وقد يثبت في نفسه ... فضيلة المجدى من المجدي لو كان من أحببته بعض ما ... في يده زار بلا وعد
