(١) ذكره الرشيد بن الزبير الاسوانيّ في كتاب جنان الجنان وقال: هو من شعراء الشام المتأخّرين زمانا وإحسانا ومن شعره: من القوم أكرم من يستجار ... بأيّامه من صروف النوب وقد كتب الدهر فضل الكرام ... فلمّا رآه محاما كتب وله: وما عذولي ناهيا عنكم ... لكنّه بالسوء أمّار قال اسلهم إن لم تطق هجرهم ... قلت له النار ولا العار يوجد في الأحباب واف ولا ... يوجد في العشّاق غدّار
