(١) ذكره أبو عبد الله محمّد بن سعد كاتب الواقديّ في كتاب الطبقات وقال: كان يقال له (الكيّس) لتلطّفه في العبادة، قال سفيان: قال مالك: كانت عند محمّد ابن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد المعروف بالكيّس امرأة صالحة ما نراه أصابها إلاّ بالدّعاء؛ قال سفيان: وكان ثقة قليل الحديث؛ قال: وكان يقال له: الرّفيق والمرضيّ.
