(٢) ذكره العماد الكاتب في الخريدة وقال: شابّ ما شاب تقاه بريبة، ولا شأن علاه بخلّة معيبة، وقال: أنشدني كمال الاسلام على الوزن العجميّ المردّف قوله: آه ما أوقد نيران الهوى ... فأعينوني جيران الهوى ليته إذ بالنّوى عذّبني ... لم يكن ينقض نيران الهوى جلّ حتّى دقّ عن فهم الورى ... قلة العشق فسبحان الهوى أظهرت أصداغه معجزة ... كفرها جدّد إيمان الهوى
