٣٣٤٥ - كريم الدين أبو بكر بن محمود السلماسي المهندس. قدم علينا سنة أربع وستّين وستّمائة إلى حضرة مولانا نصير الدّين بالرصد المحروس، وكان له معرفة بحلّ الكاغد إلى أن يصير كالعجين ويعمل منه الآلات كالطباق والزبادي والمقالم وهو الّذي صنع كرة الأرض من الكاغذ وجاءت مجوّفة في غاية ما يكون وخطّوا عليها صورة الأقاليم وذكر لي نور الدين إسماعيل بن أحمد المحتسب بسلماس أنّه توفّي سنة إحدى وسبعمائة.
