١٩٩٦ - فخر الدين أبو الفضل اسماعيل بن المثنّى التبريزي الواعظ. ذكره أبو عبد الله محمد بن محمد بن حامد الاصفهاني الكاتب في «خريدته» وقال: كان يلقب بفخر الدين، ذو فضل ونبل وله كلام مطبوع مسجوع ووعظ مسموع ولفظ مصنوع وهو الذي أثنى عليه الإمام صدر الدين محمد (٢) بن عبد اللطيف الخجندي لما وصل الى تبريز سنة ثلاث وأربعين وخمسمائة فبجّلهوكرّمه وعظّمه: سألت عن المبرز في المعاني ... بتبريز فقالوا ابن المثنّى فقلت فهل له ثان يليه ... فقيل هو الوحيد (١) فلا يثنّى وهو صاحب «تاريخ أذربيجان» وكانت وفاته في حدود سنة ثمانين وخمسمائة.
