٧٤٦ - عفيف الدين أبو علي محمد بن أحمد بن علي الرجائي الأصفهاني المعدّل. كان من أعيان العدول، والمحدّثين الفحول، عاملا بما رواه عالما بجميع ما قرأه ووعاه وهو من بيت معروف بالعلم والفضل، روى بإسناده: «قال رجل لابراهيم بن أدهم: خذ هذا الدرهم. فقال: إن كنت غنيا قبلته منك. فقال: أنا غني. فقال له: كم تلك؟ قال: ألفي درهم. فقال له: أتؤثر أن تكون ثلاثة آلاف؛ فقال: نعم. فقال: لست بغنيّ ولا أقبل درهمك».
