محمد بن محمد بن محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن زيدان الحسني، أبو (عبد الله، المعروف بالشيخ والملقب بالسلطان المهدي)عبد الله، المعروف بالشيخ والملقب بالسلطان المهدي: ثالث سلاطين الدولة السعدية بالسوس ومراكش. كان من عظماء الرجال، مهيبا، غزير العلم، تفقه في صغره وعني بالتفسير، وحفظ صحيح البخاري وديوان المتنبي. قتل غيلة بظاهر "تارودانت" ونقلت جثته إلى مراكش فدفنت بها في "روضة السعديين". له "حواش على التفسير".
