محمد عبد الحي بن عبد الكبير ابن محمد الحسني الإدريسي، المعروف بعبد الحي الكتاني: عالم بالحديث ورجاله، ولد وتعلم بفاس. كان مواليا للفرنسيين، وجاهر بالبيعة لابن عرفة - صنيعتهم - بعد إبعاد السلطان محمد الخامس إلى مدغشقر سنة ١٩٥٣. ولما استقل المغرب (١٩٥٥) وعاد السلطان إلى بلاده، كان عبد الحي في باريس، فاستمر إلى أن مات بها، له تفسير قوله تعالى: ﴿وإذا قرىء القرآن فاستمعوا له وانصتوا﴾ مخطوط، في المكتبة العامة بالرباط (١٩٢٩ - د).
