منصور بن محمد بن عبد الجبار بن أحمد المروزي السمعاني التميمي الحنفي ثم الشافعي، أبو المظفر: مفسر، عالم بالحديث، من أهل مرو، مولدا ووفاة. تفقه على مذهب أبي حنيفة، ثم دخل بغداد سنة ٤٦١ هـ، وانتقل إلى المذهب الشافعي. وعاد إلى بلده، فاضطرب أهلها لذلك وقام عليه العوام، فرحل إلى طوس، ومنها إلى نيسابور، فأقام بها مدة ثم عاد إلى مرو. وقدمه نظام الملك على أقرانه فيها. من آثاره "تفسير القرآن" ويعرف بتفسير السمعاني، مخطوط، ثلاث مجلدات (٢).الدشتكي [... - ٩٤٨ هـ / ... - ١٥٤١ م]
