محمد بن خالد بن عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن علي البرقي: أبو جعفر: عالم إمامي، من كبارهم، من أهل برقة من قرى قم ببلاد فارس، وأصله منالكوفة. كان في زمن المعتصم بالله العباسي (٢١٨ - ٢٢٧ هـ) له تصانيف كثيرة ذكر بعضها ابن النديم، منها "فضائل القرآن". وقد وهم صاحب طبقات المفسرين ونسب هذا الكتاب لابن صاحب الترجمة أحمد بن محمد (١). ابن تيمية [٥٤٢ - ٦٢٢ هـ / ١١٤٨ - ١٢٢٥ م]
