محمد بن جنكلي بن البابا بن محمد، ناصر الدين: أحد أمراء الدولة الناصرية بمصر. ولد بديار بكر، وقدم مع والده القاهرة سنة ٧٠٣ هـ، وبها نشأ وتعلم. كان في أول أمره حنفيا، ثم تحول حنبليا، ومال في آخر أمره إلى مذهب أهل الظاهر. قال المقريزي: "كان آية في معرفة فقه السلف ونقلمذاهبهم وأقوال الصحابة والتابعين، وشارك في علم التفسير والبيان، وحدث." وقال ابن حجر: "وخرج له أبو الحسين الدمياطي أربعين حديثا حدث بها قبل موته" (١) البلاغي [١٢٨٢ - ١٣٥٢ هـ / ١٨٦٤ - ١٩٣٣ م]
