محمد بن أيوب بن محمد بن وهب ابن نوح الغافقي، أبو عبد الله: قاض، من أعيان فقهاء المالكية، مشارك في القراءات والتفسير والحديث والأنساب. من أهل بلنسة بالأندلس. قال ابن الأبار: "ولي خطة الشورى في حياة شيوخه، وكان رأسا في الراسخين من العلماء، وصدرا في المشاورين من الفقهاء، برع في علوم اللسان، وتقدم في الفتيا واطلع على الآداب، واضطلع بالغريب، وشارك في التفسير، وتحقق بالقراءات، وانتهت إليه الرياسة في عقد الشروط، وولي قضاء بعض الكور الخ، (١) التاذفي [٦٢٨ - ٧٠٥ هـ / ١٢٣١ - ١٣٠٦ م]
