عياض بن موسى بن عياض بن عمرون اليحصبي السبتي، أبو الفضل: إمام وقته في الحديث وعلومه، عالم بالتفسير والفقه واللغة والنحو وكلام العرب، وأنسابهم وأيامهم، أندلسي الأصل، تحول جده إلى فاس، ثم سكن مدينة سبتة، وولد صاحب الترجمة بها. ورحل إلى الأندلس وأخذ عن علمائها. وولي قضاء سبتة، ثم قضاء غرناطة (سنة ٥٣١ هـ) ولم يطل أمده بها، ثم قضاء سبتة ثانيا، وتوفي بمراكش. وللمقري كتاب في سيرته وأخباره سماه"أزهار الرياض في أخبار القاضي عياض" (١). الخوشناوي [... - بعد ١٢٠٠ هـ / ... - بعد ١٧٨٦ م]
