علي بن أحمد بن علي المهائمي الهندي، أبو الحسن، علاء الدين، المعروف بالمخدوم، من النوائت: فقيه، متكلم، مفسر، كان يقول بوحدة الوجود، ولد في مهائم (من بنادر كوكن، وهي ناحية من الدكن بالهند، مجاورة للبحر المحيط) والنوائت قوم في بلاد الدكن، قال الطبري: "طائفة من قريش، خرجوا من المدينة خوفا من الحجاج بن يوسف، فبلغوا ساحل بحر الهند وسكنوا به". من كتبه "تبصير الرحمن وتيسير المنان ببعض ما يشير إلى إعجاز القرآن" طبع، مجلدان، و "رسالة" في تفسير آلم (١). الشيرازي [٧٨٨ - ٨٦١ هـ / ١٣٨٦ - ١٤٥٧ م]
