علقمة بن قيس بن عبد الله بن مالك النخعي الهمداني، أبو شبل: تابعي، من مشاهير المفسرين المنتمين إلى مدرسة الكوفة بالعراق. ولد في حياة رسول الله ﷺ، روى عن عمر وعثمان وعلي وابن مسعود وغيرهم. وهو من أشهر رواة عبد الله بن مسعود، وأعرفهم به، وأعلمهم بعلمه، وكان يشبهه في هديه وسمته وفضله. قال إبراهيم النخعي: "كان أصحاب عبد الله الذين يقرئون الناس ويعلمونهم السنة ويصدر الناس عن رأيهم ستة، علقمة، والأسود ... " وذكر الباقين. شهد صفين مع علي، وغزا خراسان وأقام بخوارزم وبمرو ثم سكن الكوفة وتوفي بها. وهو عند أصحاب الكتب الستة (١). الكاشاني [.. - حيا ١١٠٧ هـ / .. - حيا ١٥٩٨ م]
