عطاء بن أسلم (أبي رباح) بن صفوان، أبو محمد: تابعي، محدث، من أجلاء الفقهاء، ومن تلاميذ ابن عباس في التفسير. كان عبدا أسود، ولد باليمن ونشأ بمكة فكان مفتي أهلها ومحدثهم. أدرك مائتين من الصحابة، وروى عن ابن عباس وأبي هريرة وغيرهما. له "تفسير القرآن"استخدمه الطبري والثعلبي في تفسيرهما. و "غريب القرآن" وهو دراسة لشروح ابن عباس، مخطوط، في مكتبة عاطف بتركيا (١). عطاء بن دينار [.. - ١٢٦ هـ / .. - ٧٤٤ م]
