عبد الله بن أحمد بن محمود النسفي، إبو البركات، حافظ الدين: مفسر، متكلم، أصولي، من فقهاء الحنفية. من أهل إيذج - كورة وبلدة بين خوزستان وأصبهان - ونسبته إلى "نسف" من بلاد السند، بين جيحون وسمرقند، تتلمذ لشيوخ كثيرين، ورحل إلى بغداد. قال في "الفوائد البهية": "كان إماما عديم النظير في زمانه، رأسا في الفقه والأصول، بارعا في الحديث ومعانيه ... ". من كتبه "مدارك التنزيل وحقائق التأويل" في التفسير،طبع، "وهو كتاب وسط يعرض لوجوه الإعراب والقراءات ولشيء من البيان والبديع، معولا فيه على آراء أهل السنة والجماعة" (١). اليافعي ٦٩٨ - ٧٦٨ هـ / ١٢٩٨ - ١٣٦٧ م]
