عبد الحق بن عبد الواحد بن محمد، أبو محمد ابن الهاشم: عالم بالحديث والتفسير، مشارك. من أصل عربي، رحل أحد حدوده إلى الهند في خلافة عبد الملك بن مروان، وسكن جده قرية سميت "قرية الشيوخ" في الهند، وفيها ولد عبد الحق. اشتغل بالتدريس في مدينة أحمد فور الشرقية نصف قرن، ثم حج، فعينه الملك عبد العزيز "آل سعود" (سنة ١٣٦٨ هـ) مدرسا بالمسجد الحرام بمكة، فأقام بها إلى أن توفي. من آثاره "تفسير القرآن" أتم منه تسعة مجلدات (٢)ابن عطية [٤٨١ - ٥٤٢ هـ / ١٠٨٨ - ١١٤٨ م]
