سليمان بن عمر بن منصور العجيلي الأزهري، المعروف بالجمل: مفسر، من فقهاء الشافعية، مشارك في بعض العلوم، من أهل "منية عجيل" - إحدى قرى الغربية بمصر - وانتقل إلى القاهرة، وتفقه على شيوخ وقته. ودرس الفقه والحديث والتفسير بالمدرسة الأشرفية والمشهد الحسيني. توفي بالقاهرة من كتبه "الفتوحات الإلهية بتوضيح تفسيرالجلالين بالدقائق الخفية" حاشية على تفسير الجلالين، طبعت، في أربع مجلدات (١). أبو داود [٤١٣ - ٤٩٦ هـ / ١٠٢٢ - ١١٠٣ م]
