حسين بن محمد بن محمود بن علي الحسيني نسبا، المرعشي الآملي أصلا، الأصفهاني منشأ وموطنا، أبو طالب، علاء الدين: وزير، من أكابر علماء الشيعة الإمامية. وزير للسلطان شاه عباس الصفوي، ثم من بعده للشاه صفي الصفوي. وعزله هذا الأخير ونفاه إلى قم، ثم عفا عنه وأعاده إلى أصفهان. ولما ولي الشاه عباس الثاني أرجعه إلى الوزارة وقربه. توفي ببلدة أشرف من بلاد مازندران، وهو راجع مع الشاه عباس من فتح قندهار، ونقل نعشه إلى النجف. من كتبه "حاشية" على الكشاف للزمخشري في التفسير (١). العنابي - ابن [.. - ١١٥٠ هـ / .. - ١٧٣٧ م]
