ثابت بن دينار الثمالي الأزدي بالولاء، أبو حمزة: فقيه إمامي، من كبار رجال الحديث الثقات، مفسر، زاهد، من أهل الكوفة، روى عنه بعض أهل السنة. قتل ثلاثة من أولاده مع زيد بن علي بن الحسين سنة ١٢٢ هـ (٧٤٠ م) وكان علي الرضا يقول: "هو لقمان زمانه". من كتبه "تفسير القرآن" احتفظ لنا الثعلبي بقطع منه في كتابه الكشف والبيان (١). الأمرتسري [١٢٨٠ - ١٣٦٧ هـ / ١٨٦٣ - ١٩٤٨ م]
