أحمد بن الفرات بن خالد الضبي الرازي، أبو مسعود: محدث أصبهان وعالمها، أصله من الري، رحل في طلب الحديث فسمع بالبصرة والكوفة وبغداد والشام واليمن ومصر، ثم استوطن أصبهان خمسا وأربعين عاما يحدث بها إلى أن مات. كان معاصرا للإمام أحمد بن حنبل مقدما عنده، وقد قال فيها ما أظن بقي أحد أعرف بالمسندات من ابن الفرات، وما تحت أديم السماء أحفظ لأخبار رسول الله ﷺ منه". قال الداودي: له "تفسير القرآن" (١).العسكري [.. - ٣٠٣ هـ ٩١٥ م]
