أحمد بن حسين بن حسن بن علي بن أرسلان، أبو العباس، شهاب الدين، الرملي، ويعرف بابن رسلان: عالم بالفقه وأصوله والعربية، مشارك في الحديث والتفسير والكلام وغيرها، زاهد، من كبار الشافعية. ولد بالرملة (بفلسطين) وبهانشأ وتعلم، ثم انتقل إلى بيت المقدس وأخذ عن جماعة من الأعلام، واشتهر، فكثرت تلامذته ومريدوه وقصده الناس من أنحاء فلسطين. توفي بالقدس. قال السخاوي: "وله تصانيف نافعة في التفسير والحديث والأصلين والعربية وغيرها، كقطع متفرقة من التفسير" (١). خان داود [؟ -؟ /؟ -؟]
