٤٥٨٦ - أبو الأحوص: اسمه عوف بنُ مالك بن نضلة الجشمي [الأشجعيّ الكوفيّ] شيخُ لأبي إسحاق السبيعي، من الثقات. الصمت / ١٨٤ ح ٣٢٥؛ ليس من رجال البخاري في "الصحيح". الفتاوى الحديثية / ج ٢/ رقم ٢٤٧/ رجب / ١٤٢١؛ مجلة التوحيد / رجب / ١٤٢١؛ لم يحتج البخاري برواية أبي الأحوص عن ابن مسعود ﵁، بل مسلم. تفسير ابن كثير ج ٢/ ٢٧ * هذه الترجمة " أبو إسحاق عن أبي الأحوص، عن ابن مسعود" لم يخرجها البخاري في "صحيحه"، بل في "الأدب المفرد"، والله أعلم. تفسير ابن كثير ج ٢/ ٢٢٠ * [سماع قتادة من أبي الأحوص عوف بن مالك، يراجع له ترجمه قتادة] تنبيه ٩/ رقم ٢٠١٦
