    ٩٩ - رُفيع بن سلَمة هو أبو غسَّان رُفيع بن سلمة المعروف بدَمَاذٍ، وكان كاتب أبي عبيدة في الأخبار، وكان أوثق الناس عن أبي عبيدة في الأخبار. وكان أبو حاتم إذا ذوكر في شيء منها قال: عليكم بذلك الشيخ. يعني أبا غسان. ويقال: إن المازني نقل قدميه إلى أبي غسان يسمعُ منه الأخبار.
