عثمان بن عيسى بن درباس القاضي العلامة ضياء الدين أبو عمر الهمداني الفارابي ثم المصري الشافعي أخو قاضي القضاة صدر الدين عبد الملك، تفقه في صباه بإربل على أبي العباس الخضر بن عقيل، ثم تفقه بدمشق على القاضي أبي سعد بن أبي عصرون، وأبي البركات الخضر بن شبل الحازمي، وساد وتقدم وبرع في المذهب، وشرح المذهب للشيخ أبي إسحاق الشيرازي في عشرين مجلدًا إلى كتاب الشهادات، وشرح اللمع له في مجلدين، وكان من أعلم الشافعية، قال الحافظالمنذري: توفي في ذي القعدة سنة اثنين وست مائة ﵀.
