عبد الله بن أبي منصور محمد بن علي بن روح أبو المعالي البغدادي يعرف بابن الغالي الفقيه الشافعي كان يحج كل عام عن الخليفة المستضيء، ولم يصح له سماع من قاضي المرستان، وقد روى عنه ابن البخاري من أمالي الجوهري، وقال: لم يكن مرضي السيرة، ومات في جمادى الآخرة سنة ست مائة.
