عبد الله بن محمد بن الحسن بن هبة الله أبو المظفر ابن عساكر الدمشقي الشافعي مدرس التقوية أخو زين الأمناء، تفقه على أبي الفتح بن علي الأستري، والقطب النيسابوري، وقرأ الأدب على محمود بن نعمة بن رسلان الشيرازي النحوي وسمع الحديث من ابن الصائن، وأبي القاسم وخرج لنفسه أربعين حديثًا، وحدث بدمشق وحماة وشيراز، والقدس، ومصر، والإسكندرية وكان مجمع الفضائل وقتل بظاهر القاهرة في ثامن من ربيع الأول إحدى وسبعين وخمس مائة وله اثنان وأربعون سنة ﵀.
