يونس بن محمد بن منعة بن مالك بن محمد الإمام رضي الدين أبو الفضل الموصلي الشافعي والد بني يونس المواصلة الشافعية، وابناه لصلبه كمال الدين موسى، وعماد الدين محمد مشهوران كبيران، مولده بإربل سنة إحدى عشرة وخمس مائة، وتفقه بها على الحسين بن نصر بن خميس الجهني، وسمع منه كثيرا من حديثه، ثم انحدر إلى بغداد، فتفقه على أبي منصور بن سعيد بن محمد الرزاز، ثم رجع إلى الموصل وسكنها، وأقبل عليه متوليها، ودرس وأفتى وناظر وانتفع به جماعة من الفقهاء، وتوفي في محرم سنة تسع وسبعين وخمس مائة.
