هبة الله بن محمد بن هبة الله بن مميل أبو محمد بن أبي نصر الشيرازي ثم البغدادي ولد بها، ثم الدمشقي استوطنها، كان مولده ببغداد سنة خمس مائة وقدم دمشق سنة ثلاثين، وولي إمامة مشهد علي بالجامع،وفوض إليه عقد الأنكحة، وكان دينًا حسن الطريقة عدلًا فاضلًا صوفيا واعظًا، وسمع ببغداد أبا علي بن نبهان، ومحمد بن الحسن بن باكر الفارسي، وجماعة، وعنه ابنه القاضي أبو نصر الذي بعده، وابن ابنه أبو المعالي أحمد بن محمد، وأبو المواهب بن صصرى وآخرون، توفي سنة ثمان وسبعين وخمس مائة.
