محمد بن سليمان بن الحسن بن عمرو الإمام أبو عبد الله المروزي الفنديني وفندين من قرى مرو، وقال ابن السمعاني: كان فقيهًا زاهدًا ورعًا متهجدًا تاركًا للتكلف، تفقه على الإمام عبد الرحمن الزاز، وسمع منه، ومن أبي المظفر السمعاني وغيره، وعنه عبد الرحيم ابن السمعاني، وتوفي في العشرين من محرم سنة أربع وأربعين وخمس مائة عن اثنين وثمانين سنة.
