محمد بن علي بن الحسن بن أبي الصقر أبو الحسن الواسطي الفقيه الشاعر تفقه على الشيخ أبي إسحاق الشيرازي، وله ديوان شعر في مجلد، وحدث عن عبيد الله بن القطان، وعنه كثير بن سماليق، ومحمد بن ناصر، والحافظ أبو طاهر السلفي، ومن شعره: من عارض الله في مشيئة ... فما من الدين عنده خبر لا يقدر الناس باجتهادهم ... إلا على ما جرى به القدر ، مات سنة ثمان وتسعين وأربع مائة عن بضع وثمانين سنة.
