الحسن بن علي بن مكي بن إسرافيل بن حماد الإمام أبو علي الحمادي النسفي أحد الأعلام، كان على مذهب الإمام أبي حنيفة، ثم انتقل إلى مذهب الإمام الشافعي، رحل في طلب الحديث، وسمع بنيسابور من أبي نعيم عبد الملك بن الحسن الإسفراييني، وإسماعيل بن محمد بن حاجب الكسائي، قال ابن السمعاني: وحدثنا عنه الحسين بن الخليل، مات سنة ستين وأربع مائة، وقد عمر دهرًا.
