علي بن محمد بن إسماعيل بن محمد بن بشر أبو الحسن الأنطاكي المقري الفقيه الشافعي كان رأسا في علم القراءات، ودخل الأندلس في سنة ثنتين وخمسين وثلاث مائة، فقال أبو الوليد الفرضي: أدخل إليها علما جما، وكان بصيرا بالعربية، والحساب، وله حظ من الفقه، قرأ الناس عليه، وسمعت أنا منه، قال: وكان مولده بأنطاكية، سنة تسع وتسعينومائتين، ومات بقرطبة، في ربيع الأول سنة سبع وسبعين وثلاث مائة، رحمه الله تعالى.
