أحمد بن محمد بن علي بن الحسن بن يحيى أبو بكر السيبيولد بقصر أبي هبيرة، سنة ست وتسعين ومائتين، ورحل إلى بغداد، بعد أن حرق القرمطي قصر ابن هبيرة، ونشر بها مذهب الشافعي، ومات في أول يوم من رجب سنة اثنتين وسبعين وثلاث مائة، هذه ترجمة أبي إسحاق في طبقاته، قال أبو إسحاق: ومنهم: أبو بشر أحمد بن محمد بن جعفر الهروي، المعروف بالعلم، سكن بغداد، ودرس عليه القادر بالله، أمير المؤمنين، ﵁.
