أحمد بن محمد بن سليمان أبو الطيب الحنفي الصعلوكي أحد أئمة الشافعية، وحفاظ الحديث واللغة، وهو عم الأستاذ أبي سهل الصعلوكي، روى الحديث عن محمد بن يحيى الذهلي، وعلي بن الحسن بن أبي عيسى الدارابجردي، ومحمد بن عبد الوهاب، وبالري: علي بن الجنيد، ومحمد بن أيوب، وببغداد عبد الله ابن الإمام أحمد، وعنه: ابن أخيه الأستاذ أبو عبد الله بن الأخرم، ثم أمسك عن الحديث آخر عمره، قال الحاكم: فكنا نراه حسرة، وقد سمعت منه حديثا في المذاكرة، توفي في رجب سنة سبع وثلاثين وثلاث مائة.
