إبراهيم بن هانئ بن خالد المهلبي أبو عمران الجرجاني إمام الشافعية بها، سمع الحديث بسمرقند: من أبي محمد الدارمي، وببغداد: من أحمد بن منصور الزيادي، وتفقه به جماعة من أهل سمرقند، منهم: أبو بكر الإسماعيلي، وسمع منه الحديث، وإبراهيم بن موسى التميمي، وعبد الله بن عدي وغيرهم، مات سنة إحدى وثلاث مائة، قاله النووي، ﵀، في كتاب تهذيب الأسماء واللغات.
