يعقوب بن يوسف بن يعقوب بن عبد الله أبو يوسف الأخرم الشيباني النيسابوري والد الحافظ الإمام، أحد كبار الشافعية: أبو عبد الله بن الأخرم، سمع قتيبة وإسحاق بن راهويه، وسويد بن سعيد، وهشام بن عمار، وعدة، وعنه: ابنه، وأبو حامد بن الشرقي، وعلي بن حمشاذ، ومحمد بن صالح بن هانئ، وأبو النضر محمد بن حمد الفقيه، وآخرون، كان رئيسا نبيلا فقيها كثير العلم، توفي في شعبان سنة سبع وثمانين ومائتين، ﵀.
