٢٦١٨- وكِيع بْن الجَرّاح بْن مَلِيح بْن عَدِي بْن فرس، أَبو سُفيان، الرُّؤاسِِيُّ. مِن قَيس عَيلَان. الكُوفيُّ. سَمِعَ إِسماعِيل بْن أَبي خَالِد، والأَعمَش، والثَّوريُّ، وابْن عَون. رَوَى عَنه: ابْن المُبارك، ويَحيى بْن آدم. قَالَ عَبد اللهِ بْن أَبي الأَسود: مات وكِيع سَنَة سبع وتسعين ومئة. وقَالَ أَحْمَد بْن حَنبل: وُلِدَ وكِيع سَنَة تسع وعشرين ومئة. وقَالَ وكِيع: سَمِعتُ الأَعمَش سَنَة خمس وأربعين، فجاءنا خبر مُحَمد، أَنه قد خرج بالمدينة، وهِشام بْن عُروة عَنْدنا، فمات الأَعمَش سَنَة ثمان وأربعين ومئة، وخرجنا فِيهَا إلى البَصرة.باب وردان
