٧١٤- خُبَيب بْن عَبد اللهِ بْن الزُّبَير بْن العَوّام، القُرَشِيّ، الأَسَدِيّ. مات قبل أن يُستخلف عُمر بْن عَبد العزيز. رَوَى عَنه عُثمان بن حَكِيم. قَالَ عَبد اللهِ بْن مُحَمد الجُعفي، حدَّثنا هِشام بْن يُوسُف، أَخبرنا مَعمَر، عَنْ أَخي الزُّهري، قَالَ: كتب الوليد إلى عُمر، وهو على المدينة، أن يضرب خُبَيب بْن عَبد اللهِ بْن الزُّبَير، فضربه أسواطا، فأقامه، فمات، فسَمِعَتُ سالم بْن عَبد اللهِ يَقُولُ: عاب اللَّه على مُوسى قتل نفس كافرة.
