٢٨٥٤- حُسَين بْن شُفَي بْن ماتع، الأَصبَحِيّ، المِصريّ. سَمِعَ عَبد اللهِ بْن عَمرو، وتُبَيعًا، رَوى عَنْهُ النعمان بْن عَمرو، وحَيوة. قَالَ عَبد اللهِ بْن يزيد: حدَّثنا سَعِيد بْن أَبي أَيوب، حَدَّثني النعمان بْن عَمرو بْن خَالِد، عَنْ حُسَين بْن شُفَي، قَالَ: كنا عند عَبد اللهِ بْن عَمرٍو، فأقبل تُبَيعٌ، فَقَالَ عبدُ اللهِ: أتاكم أعلمُ مَن عليها.
