    ٢٨٢٥ - قطن بن سعير بن الخمس التميمي. • قال السُّلَمِيُّ: قال الدَّارَقُطْنِيّ: سعير بن الخمس، كنيته أبو مالك، ثقة، وابنه مالك بن سعير، يروي عن الأعمش، وهشام بن عروة، وقطن بن سعير بن الخمس، له حكايات في الزهد، ولا أعرف له مسندًا شيئًا. (١٥١) . • وقال الدَّارَقُطْنِيّ: حدثنا ابن مخلد، حدثنا عباس، قال سَمِعْتُ يحيى (بن معين) يقول قطن بن سعير بن الخمس، رجل سوء، كان يتهم بأمر قبيح. «المؤتلف والمختلف» ٤ ١٩٠٣ و١٩٠٤.
