    ٥٩٠ - أبو طاهر الهمذاني العلوي الحسين بن علي بن الحسن بن سلمة أبو طاهر الهمذاني العدل الرئيس الحافظ وهو جد الشريف أبي طالب علي بن الحسين بن الحسن العلوي الهمذاني من قبل الأم دخل نيسابور طالبا للحديث وكتب عن مثل أبي عمرو بن حمدان وأبي أحمد الحافظ وطبقتهما ثم خرج إلى سرخس وكتب بها عن زاهر بن أحمد وأكثر ثم خرج إلى كشميهن وسمع بها صحيح البخاري عن أبي الهيثم الكشميهني وخرج إلى ما وراء النهر وأدرك بها الشيوخ وكتب عنهم ثم رجع إلى همذان وحدث بها وأملى
