    ٣٠١ - الضرير الحيري اسماعيل بن أحمد بن عبدالله الأستاذ أبو عبدالرحمن الضرير الحيري المفسر المقرئ الواعظ الفقيه المحدث الزاهد أحد أئمة المسلمين ومن العلماء العاملين بالعلم له التصانيف المشهورة في علوم القرآن والقراءات والحديث والوعظ والتذكير وله حفظ الحديث ومعرفته رحل في طلبه كثيرا وسمع الصحيح للبخاري من أبي الهيثم وسمع منه ببغداد روى عن زاهر السرخسي وأبي الفضل الحدادي وأبي العباس الأنماطي والمخلدي وأبي الحسن العبدوي وأبي طاهر بن خزيمة والخفاف وأبي الحسن الماسرجسي وطبقتهم وكان نفاعا للخلق مفيدا مباركا في علمهولد سنة احدى وستين وثلاثمائة وتوفي بعد الثلاثين وأربع مائة أنبأنا مسعود بن ناصر
