٤٢١١- أحمد بن عمر بن محمد بن إِسْمَاعِيل، أبو الليث [٢] النسفي: من أهل سمرقند سمع الحديث وتفقه ووعظ وكان حسن السمت وحج وعاد إلى بغداد فأقام بها نحو ثلاثة أشهر ثم ودع وخرج إلى بلده، وكان ينشد وقت الوداع: ٥٨/ أ/ يا عالم الغيب والشهاده ... مني بتوحيدك الشهاده أسأل في غربتي وكربي ... منك وفاة على الشهاده فلما وصل إلى قومس خرج جماعة من أهل القلاع وقطعوا الطريق على القافلة وقتلوا مقتلة عظيمة من العلماء والمعروفين فضربوه ثلاث ضربات فمات.
