٤١٨٠- مسعود السلطان ابن محمد بن ملك شاه [٥] . جرت له أحوال عجيبة قد ذكرناها في حوادث السنين، وآل الأمر إلى أن خرج المسترشد باللَّه إلى محاربته فأسر المسترشد ورأى مسعود من التمكين ما لم يره أبناء جنسه وقدم فبايع المقتفي لأمر الله وتحكم، وكتب له شيخنا أبو بكر بن عبد الباقي جزءامن حديثه فسمعه عليه، فكان أقوام يسمعون على السلطان عن شيخنا. توفي يوم الأربعاء سلخ جمادى الآخرة من هذه السنة، ودفن نصف الليل، وفي صبيحة الخميس ولي مكانه ملك شاه وأذعن له الأمراء وزم الأمور ابن البلنكري.
