٤١٦٨- أحمد بن محمد ابن أحمد بن الحسن المذاري، أبو المعالي بن أبي طاهر [٢] :ولد سنة اثنتين وستين وسمع أبا القاسم ابن البسري وأبا علي ابن البناء وغيرهما، وكان سماعه صحيحا، وقرأت عليه كثيرا من حديثه، وسئل عن نسبه إلى المذار، فقال: كان أبي سافر إليها وأقام بها مدة ثم رجع فقيل المذاري، ومذار قرية [تحت البصرة قريبة] [١] من عبادان. توفي عشية الأربعاء الثامن والعشرين من جمادى هذه السنة، ودفن بمقبرة باب حرب.
